Manado (ANTARA) - The Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu’ti, stated that his institution is promoting the creation of safe, healthy, clean, and beautiful (ASRI) school conditions. “The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has also issued a ministerial regulation to build safe and comfortable schools as well as healthy schools,” said the Minister at SMKN 3 Tondano, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi, on Wednesday. The Minister explained that the programme for safe, comfortable, and healthy schools aligns with the President’s ASRI programme, which aims to ensure that life in society and the atmosphere in schools is safe. “Let us create a healthy school environment, a clean school environment, a beautiful school environment, and a safe school environment,” the Minister urged. The Minister added that the ASRI programme was directed by the President during a gathering of regional heads with the Ministry of Home Affairs. At that time, the President emphasised the importance of the ASRI programme, where everyone works together to create social and natural environments that are safe, healthy, clean, and beautiful. When able to implement it in this way (ASRI), the Minister said, we are all given directions by the President on the importance of efficient living. Moreover, Minister Abdul Mu’ti noted, North Sulawesi is one of the destinations for tourists from various regions in the country as well as from abroad.
