The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education reported over 1,000 students achieved perfect scores in the Mathematics Academic Ability Test (TKA) for primary and secondary levels. ‘Some students scored perfectly, answering all questions correctly. The number is higher for Indonesian language compared to Mathematics,’ said Rahmawati, Head of the Education Assessment Centre (Pusmendik) at the ministry, during a media briefing on TKA results for SMP/MTs and SD/MI levels in Jakarta on Tuesday.

At the SD/MI level, 814 students scored 100 in Mathematics, while 271 achieved the same at the SMP/MTs level. For Indonesian language, 4,509 students scored 100 at SD/MI level and 4,051 at SMP/MTs level.

She stressed that TKA scores cannot be compared across regions due to the lack of cross-regional question standardisation. ‘Different provinces have different questions, and all exams undergo verification and validation before scoring,’ she added.

The ministry has published TKA results by subject, education level, and province, sorted according to province codes in the registration system.
