The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has stated that collaboration across the entire education ecosystem is key to successfully implementing the newly launched Indonesia Talent Scholarship Programme (BTI), which was launched by the National Centre for Achievement (Puspresnas) of Kemendikdasmen in partnership with the National Student Loan Corporation (LPDP).

To further disseminate information about BTI, Puspresnas Kemendikdasmen has conducted the second phase of the Talent Scholarship Socialisation, targeting educational quality assurance bodies, provincial offices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, provincial education offices, and educational institutions nationwide, including Indonesian Schools Abroad (SILN).

Maria Veronica Irene, Head of Puspresnas Kemendikdasmen, stated in Jakarta on Friday that the 2026 BTI programme for degree and diploma level students is intended for talented students who have excelled in national and international talent competitions, serving as an instrument for sustaining achievement mentorship and supporting career development.

“The Indonesia Talent Scholarship is an appreciation for high-achieving students to develop their potential. This forum is an opportunity to exchange and disseminate information,” she said.

The scholarship, she noted, forms an integral part of the National Talent Management ecosystem—a system designed to ensure that the nation’s outstanding talents do not end their journey at competition stages but continue to relevant, strategic higher education pathways with real impact on national development.

“The success of this programme depends heavily on your strategic role,” she stated.

According to her, educational quality assurance bodies have an important role in ensuring that the quality management ecosystem operates systematically. Meanwhile, heads of educational institutions are the frontline guardians who directly support, mentor, and inspire high-achieving students.

She further expressed hope that the entire education ecosystem will identify high-achieving students who meet the criteria, ensure that achievement data is properly recorded in the Talent Information Management System (SIMT), provide guidance during the registration and essay writing process, and build awareness that achievement does not end with medals but continues with tangible contribution to the nation.

“Let us ensure that no outstanding talent is overlooked due to lack of information. Let us build a system that is proactive, collaborative, and responsive. And let us prepare Indonesia’s golden generation with global competitiveness, national character, and tangible contribution to national development,” she concluded.
