A few days ago, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education launched two flagship digital innovations: the Super Application Rumah Pendidikan and the Anugerah Bug Bounty programme.

The latest development is that both have been nominated for the global ITU World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prizes 2026, organised by the United Nations.

These two innovations are nominated in category C7 (e-Government) and C5 (Building Confidence and Security in the Use of ICT). Currently, they are competing to enter the top five best (Champion Projects) out of a total of 20 global innovations in each category.

The Head of the Data and Information Technology Centre of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Wibowo Mukti, stated that Indonesians can support this achievement by accessing the page: https://s.id/VoteRumdikABB.

“Then, log in or create an account. Next, select category C7 – e-Government, search for Rumah Pendidikan, then click Vote for this project. Then, select category C5 – Building Confidence and Security in the Use of ICT. Search for Anugerah Bug Bounty, then click Vote for this project,” he said in Bandung on Wednesday (22/4).

According to him, referring to the official page, voting is open until 3 May 2026 at 23:00 UTC +02:00, or for Indonesian time until 4 May 2026 at 04:00 WIB.

Public Support

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Suharti, invited the entire community to provide support.

“We invite all members of the public and education stakeholders to give support through voting, so that these Indonesian innovations can achieve the best achievements at the global level,” she said.

The WSIS Prizes is an annual award organised by ITU, a UN agency in the field of information and communication technology, since 2012 to appreciate digital innovations that impact sustainable development.

According to Suharti, this achievement is an international recognition of Indonesia’s digital education transformation, while also aligning with the Ministry’s vision in providing RAMAH (Responsive, Accountable, Serving, Adaptive, and Harmonious) education services and realising Quality Education for All.

The Anugerah Bug Bounty programme itself is a manifestation of the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening cyber resilience through active involvement of students, educators, education personnel, university students, and lecturers in the digital security ecosystem.

Meanwhile, Rumah Pendidikan serves as a super application that integrates more than 950 education services in one platform. Rumah Pendidikan has been utilised by tens of millions of users across Indonesia.

“Every vote is very meaningful to take Indonesian innovations further at the global level,” Suharti emphasised.
