Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education: BOSP Relaxation for ASN PPPK Teachers Only This Year
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has reminded that the relaxation in the use of School Operational Assistance (BOSP) funds for financing the salaries of part-time civil servant (ASN) and non-permanent civil servant (PPPK) teachers and education staff applies only to the current year.
Director General of Early Childhood Education, Basic Education, Non-Formal and Informal Education (Dirjen PAUD Dikdas PNFI) of Kemendikdasmen, Gogot Suharwoto, stated that the relaxation provided through Ministerial Circular No. 6 of 2026 is only valid for the 2026 Fiscal Year, is temporary in nature, and is not intended as a permanent policy.
“So the first principle is that this relaxation applies in the current year. That means it is limited. And the second is that it is conditional,” emphasised Dirjen Gogot during the Ngopi Bareng Bu Nunuk broadcast in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Furthermore, Gogot also reminded that the policy relaxation is not granted to all local governments, but only to those that propose it with certain conditions.
In addition, the proposing local governments must submit statements on fiscal conditions and plans to strengthen budgeting through the Regional Budget (APBD) to ensure the availability of funding sources for those components in the following fiscal year.
The request, continued Gogot, is then submitted by attaching an absolute accountability letter from the regent, mayor, and governor to ensure that the submitted request aligns with the conditions in the field.
“So it is not automatic that with this circular it applies to all educational units. It must indeed be in accordance with the conditions and real needs in the educational units. So this is conditional,” emphasised Gogot.
The ministry hopes that this relaxation policy can ensure that every school has the resources to deliver basic education services.
