Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) reports that 19 schools across various levels in Karangasem Regency, Bali Province, have completed revitalisation, ensuring the continuity of the programme. Deputy Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Wamendikdasmen), Fajar Riza Ul Haq, stated that the revitalisation is part of the government’s major steps to improve national education quality. He added that the 2026 revitalisation programme will prioritise schools in severely damaged conditions, those impacted by disasters, and schools in remote, frontier, and outermost (3T) areas. Thus, he continued, the programme is expected to reach educational units that need it most. Furthermore, Fajar emphasised that all education policies are fundamentally aimed at the interests of students. Therefore, he said, the facilities that have been built need to be well maintained and cared for so that their benefits can be felt in the long term. “To the schools that have received revitalisation, I congratulate you. Please maintain and care for them, because maintenance is no less important so that these facilities continue to be useful,” he said. On the same occasion, Karangasem Regent I Gusti Putu Parwata stated that the 2025 revitalisation programme in the area ran well and was completed on time. He mentioned that 19 educational units have benefited from the programme, covering the construction of classrooms, laboratories, sanitation facilities, and educational service rooms.
