JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) states that importers and tofu-tempeh producers have signed an agreement to maintain the Reference Selling Price (HAP) for soybeans at Rp 11,500 per kilogram.

Director General of Food Crops at Kementan, Yudi Sastro, said the HAP applies to soybean sales at the importer level.

“We have committed together to ensure the implementation of the HAP in the field continues to run. This is important to maintain food stability,” Yudi said in his official statement on Friday (10/4/2026).

Yudi explained that the agreement was signed by the parties during a coordination meeting with associations at the Directorate General of Food Crops of Kementan on Thursday (9/4/2026).

The agreement will remain in effect until the policy changes in the future to keep prices stable despite pressures on various imported commodities due to geopolitical conditions.

According to Yudi, his side has checked reports circulating that soybean prices have exceeded Rp 20,000 per kilogram.

“Information stating that soybean prices have reached Rp 20,000 is not true. Prices remain below the HAP, even at the importer level still around Rp 11,500,” Yudi said.

He acknowledged that wars occurring in several countries are indeed pressuring logistics costs, transportation, and other components.

Nevertheless, he assured that soybean prices are still under control.

“This is what we need to convey to prevent anxiety in society,” he added.
