JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Inspector General (Irjen) of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Republic of Indonesia, Dendi Suryadi, held a meeting with the leaders of Hajj service providers (syarikah) in Saudi Arabia for the organisation of the Hajj in 1447 H/2026 AD, namely Rakeen Mashariq and Al Bait Guests, on Saturday night (9/5/2026).

Regional Inspector III of the Ministry of Hajj, Mulyadi Nurdin, stated that the inspectorate conducted visits to Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina to monitor the readiness of services for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims.

“So far, we have seen that the services are running smoothly, and the preparations in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina are progressing according to schedule,” said Mulyadi in his statement on Monday (11/5/2026).

“Mr Irjen Dendi Suryadi emphasised to the syarikah leaders that the service standards provided must comply with the contract signed between the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the syarikah parties; the contract clearly specifies rights and obligations, technical specifications, quality and quantity of work,” he said.

He revealed that the arrival of the delegation from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Republic of Indonesia was welcomed positively by the syarikah side. Mulyadi described this meeting as a strategic step in ensuring the success of Hajj services.

“We also directly heard the commitment from the syarikah to provide maximum services to Hajj pilgrims in accordance with the signed contract,” he stated.

His side emphasised that they will oversee all stages of the Hajj organisation.

This is in line with the mandate of the law, including Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 92 of 2025 on the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, which states that the Inspectorate General is a supervisory element under and directly responsible to the Minister of Hajj and Umrah.

“The scope of supervision covers performance and finances, through activities such as audits, reviews, evaluations, monitoring, and other forms of supervision,” he explained.

The meeting was also attended by the Director General of Hajj Services Ian Heriyawan, Regional Inspector III of the Ministry of Hajj Mulyadi Nurdin, Technical Staff for Hajj Affairs at the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah Muhammad Ilham Effendy, as well as several officials from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
