Ministers to read poems

JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport Hayono
Isman, Minister of Education and Culture Wardiman Djojonegoro and
Minister of Transmigration Siswono Yudohusodo have expressed
their readiness to read poems for Putih Bening (Transparent
White) at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta tomorrow.

HM Ismail, the chairman of the organizing committee, said
yesterday that those participating in the poetry reading should
swap their official hats for private ones, Antara reported
yesterday.

The event, scheduled for two hours, is jointly held by
journalists, city administration and the office of State Minister
of Youth Affairs and Sport.

Besides the three ministers, another 25 people, including
Governor Surjadi Soedirdja, Deputy Governor on Social Welfare
Museno, businesswomen Dewi Motik Pramono and Tarman Azzam,
chairman of the Jakarta branch of the Association of Indonesian
Journalists (PWI Jaya), director Chaerul Umam, poets Sutardji
Calzoum Bachri, Slamet Sukirnanto and Taufic Ismail will join the
