Ministers to feature at export seminar
JAKARTA (JP): Thirteen ministers will outline government policies, business possibilities and export opportunities at a two-day seminar at the Jakarta Fairground on Aug. 14 and Aug. 15 to coincide with an export product exhibition.
"Local conglomerate owners, business executives and foreign experts will also share their expertise and experiences in the seminar, which is also being held to commemorate the golden anniversary of Indonesia's independence," said Sugihono Kadarisman, the Coordinating Board for Investment's Deputy Chairman for Promotion.
Coordinating Minister for Industry and Trade Hartarto, State Minister for Development Planning Ginandjar Kartasasmita and State Minister for Research and technology B.J. Habibie will present their speeches on local sourcing, sub-contracting and technology promotion on the first day, he said yesterday.
Kadarisman said that Industry Minister Tunky Ariwibowo, Transportation Minister Haryanto Dhanutirto, Public Works Minister Radinal Moochtar, Health Minister Sujudi, Tourism, Post and Telecommunication Minister Joop Ave, Agriculture Minister Sjarifudin Baharsjah, Education and Culture Minister Wardiman Djojonegoro, State Minister of Investment Sanyoto Sastrowardoyo, Trade Minister Satrio B. Joedono and State Minister of Environment Sarwono Kusumaatmadja will address the seminar on the second day to discuss the development of businesses in various sectors.
Kadarisman said that the organizing committee is offering tickets to business people, executives and government officials who want to take part in the seminar.(kod)
