Several ministers met at the State Palace after holding a limited meeting at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs on Friday (27/3/2026). According to information gathered, one of the topics discussed in the meeting also concerned the implementation of new policies in the mining sector.

From observations by CNBC Indonesia, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto arrived first at the Palace, although he was reluctant to reveal details regarding the meeting agenda.

However, when asked about plans to adjust export duties on coal commodities, he stated that it still needed to be reported to the President.

“We will report to the President,” said Airlangga to reporters.

He also emphasised that the policy would not be announced today.

“Not yet, not yet,” he said.

Not long after, Purbaya arrived at the palace. However, he declined to provide comments.

“I’ll go in first,” he said while walking quickly.

Furthermore, Airlangga stated that several policies to be reported included those regarding Work From Anywhere. According to him, the announcement of that policy would be released this week.

“Later, soon. Before April. Approximately this week. Approximately this week,” he concluded.
