A number of government ministers and political party leaders have visited the residence of Indonesia’s seventh President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), in Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo. Responding to the visits, Jokowi described the arrivals of these figures as mere social courtesy calls.

“These figures and leaders come to my house for courtesy visits. When they travel to Solo or Jogja, they make a detour to visit,” Jokowi said on Friday (13 March 2026).

During these meetings, Jokowi did not deny that current issues were discussed. He admitted to discussing various matters ranging from national to global scale problems.

“We discuss national issues, global problems, and I think that is normal. Quite normal,” he said casually.

Regarding the possibility of making Solo a new political epicentre given the numerous visits by such figures, Jokowi reiterated that the visitors were simply making courtesy calls.

“They are just visiting, making courtesy calls,” he concluded.

Several political figures and ministers have visited Jokowi’s residence. Most recently, Deputy Minister for Utilisation of State-Owned Enterprises (P2MI), Dzulfikar Ahmad Talawa, visited Jokowi’s home. Besides Dzulfikar, former Acting Governor of Jakarta, Heru Budi, has also visited Jokowi’s residence.
