Minister Yassierli: 46,160 Participants to Join MagangHub Programme Batch II
The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) recorded that 46,160 participants have passed the selection process and will begin the second batch of the National Internship Programme (MagangHub) for university graduates on 10 August 2026. “This internship programme is the government’s effort to strengthen the transition of university graduates, including professional education graduates, into the world of work through real work experience, mentor guidance, and the strengthening of competence and work culture,” said Manpower Minister Yassierli in Jakarta on Tuesday, 11 August 2026. The programme is part of the 2026 economic stimulus policy package designed to ease graduates’ transition into employment. Yassierli stressed that the internship must be a space for building competence and professionalism, not merely an administrative exercise. For this batch, 3,672 host organisations are participating, comprising 1,842 companies and 1,830 ministries or agencies. These hosts offered 28,455 internship positions with a total capacity of 54,304 participants. Overall, 732,483 individuals registered, with 244,982 applicants deemed eligible. After a series of selection stages, 225,920 candidates entered the recruitment phase, and 48,088 were shortlisted for further processing. Ultimately, 46,402 candidates were proposed for placement, and following final verification, 46,160 were confirmed as participants. Yassierli noted that this achievement demonstrates strong collaboration between the government and the business sector in creating relevant work-learning opportunities for young Indonesian talent. He urged the successful participants to make the most of the opportunity with discipline, integrity, and dedication.
