Minister Urges University Graduates to Prepare Skills for National Internship Programme

Minister of Manpower Yassierli has urged university graduates in Southeast Sulawesi to prepare and improve their skills to take advantage of the 2026 National Internship Programme (PMN). Speaking in Kendari on Wednesday, he stated that the government is opening opportunities for 150,000 prospective workers across three phases, with placements available at private companies, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and government agencies. He specifically encouraged graduates to make optimal use of the programme as a stepping stone before entering the workforce. Yassierli noted that during the six-month internship, participants will receive an allowance equivalent to the local regency or city minimum wage (UMK), employment social security protection (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan), and a nationally recognised competency certificate from the Ministry of Manpower.
