Minister Trenggono Discovers Building Specification Discrepancies in KNMP Project in East Lombok

Marine and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono discovered specification discrepancies in the Red-White Fishermen’s Cooperative (KNMP) building in Ekas Buana Village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). He requested the contractor to immediately undertake repairs.

“There are certainly some works that, in my view, are not yet satisfactory. I have already requested the contractor to carry out repairs,” Trenggono explained after inspecting the KNMP building in Ekas Buana, East Lombok, on Friday 27 February 2026.

Trenggono instructed the contractor executing the IDR 23 billion project to proceed with repairs promptly. This is aimed at ensuring the KNMP programme in East Lombok runs smoothly.

“We need to proceed with repairs immediately, so that implementation can run well,” said Trenggono.

He disclosed that there are currently 100 KNMP locations being constructed. The KNMP buildings are targeted for completion by July 2026.

“For this first phase, there are 100 locations. 65 buildings are already completed, and others are in finishing stages. We are targeting completion of these 100 locations by July 2026,” Trenggono said.

He has not yet confirmed when KNMP operations will commence in East Lombok, given that several buildings require repairs.

“For this location (KNMP Ekas Buana), repairs need to be carried out on both sides first,” Trenggono said.

After completion, his ministry will facilitate training for KNMP managers. It will collaborate with the Ministry of Cooperatives.

“Once everything is completed, we will provide guidance to the management. We already have a collaboration with the Ministry of Cooperatives,” Trenggono added.
