Minister Rosan Says France-Indonesia Business Council Drives US$3.5 Billion Investment

Minister of Investment and Downstreaming and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Rosan Roeslani stated that the establishment of the France–Indonesia High Level Business Council is a strategic step to strengthen investment and trade between Indonesia and France.

The high-level business council was launched on Thursday, 28 May, witnessed by President Prabowo Subianto and President Emmanuel Macron during President Prabowo’s state visit to France.

‘The formation of the France–Indonesia High Level Business Council is a significant milestone in strengthening the economic partnership between the two nations,’ Rosan said, as quoted from the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat on Friday, 29 May 2026.

According to Rosan, the forum serves as a dialogue platform for business stakeholders and is expected to expedite investment realisation and strategic cooperation that delivers economic benefits for both countries.

The business council is jointly chaired by Danone CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique, who also serves as Chair of the France–Indonesia Business Council under MEDEF International, and Kadin Chairman Anindya Bakrie.

Rosan revealed that the forum’s launch resulted in four new commercial agreements worth US$3.5 billion covering energy security, trade, and defence sectors.
