Minister Reveals Acceleration of National Pharmaceutical and Car Industry Development

Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) Prof Brian Yuliarto met with the President at the Merdeka Palace in Central Jakarta on Thursday (25/6/2026). During the meeting, the head of state provided directives regarding the acceleration of the development of several strategic national industrial sectors. In his statement following the meeting, Minister Brian explained that the government is currently accelerating the development of a number of national industrial fields, ranging from pharmaceuticals to automotive. These programmes are being undertaken to build domestic industrialisation. “Many programmes, starting from pharmaceuticals, the development of the pharmaceutical industry, the development of a national car, a national motorcycle, and others, downstreaming programmes that can be accelerated,” he told the media.
