Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti received a letter for the President from students of SDN Cimahpar 5 in Bogor City, West Java Province, thanking him for the improvement of their school through the educational unit revitalisation programme. A fourth-grade pupil named Siti Maulida read the letter aloud in front of Minister Mu’ti and Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Pratikno. “Allow us to introduce ourselves, we are elementary school pupils. Through this letter, we would like to express our gratitude to Mr President for the new school building that has been given to us,” Maulida said at SDN Cimahpar 5 on Wednesday. In addition to the revitalisation programme, Maulida, representing the students, also conveyed gratitude to President Prabowo Subianto for implementing the Free Nutritious Meal programme, which has made them more enthusiastic and energised during learning activities. “We feel happy and grateful for Mr President’s attention to us, the children of Indonesia. We promise to study diligently, be disciplined, and be good children so that we can achieve our dreams and make the nation and country proud,” she stated. On the occasion, Minister Abdul Mu’ti relayed a message from President Prabowo Subianto, who wants pupils to continue pursuing their aspirations. “The President advised you to be diligent Indonesian children, to be great children. Have noble ambitions, have high ambitions. Do not feel inferior, do not be timid. Do not give up easily just because you are not children from Jakarta or city kids. You must be confident, because you all have the ability,” said Minister Mu’ti. He added that the President also advised pupils to master foreign languages so they can compete in the global arena.
