Minister of Women and Child Protection Visits SRMP 17 Tabanan, Student Expresses Ambition to Become Foreign Minister
Minister of Women and Child Protection (PPPA) Arifatul Choiri Fauzi visited SRMP 17 Tabanan at the Mahatmiya Centre, Banjar Anyar Village, Kediri District, Tabanan, on Tuesday (24/2/2026). She was impressed by one of the students who expressed their ambition to become the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During her visit, Minister Arifatul emphasised discipline as a key to achieving ambitions and contributing to the realisation of a ‘Golden Indonesia’ by 2045. She stated that the students of SRMP 17 Tabanan represent the future generation who will help realise this vision in the next 20 years.
“Earlier, one of the students expressed their ambition to become the Minister of Foreign Affairs. This is a remarkable ambition. Even though they are only from a ‘Sekolah Rakyat’ (People’s School), I hope it can be realised,” said Arifatul.
She emphasised to the students that the key to achieving their ambitions is discipline, both in pursuing education and in adhering to rules.
By fostering personal character and discipline, achieving their goals will become easier.
“This ‘Sekolah Rakyat’ is a noble program, reflecting the President’s desire for all Indonesian children to have equal access to education and the opportunity to achieve their ambitions,” said Arifatul.
Meanwhile, the Head of SRMP 17 Tabanan, I Putu Jaya Negara, added that there are 74 students whose development is quite encouraging, in terms of academics, life skills, character building, discipline, and independence.
The supporting facilities provided, such as uniforms, smart boards, laptops, and library books, have been received.
“What is still lacking is a laboratory and a computer laboratory. This is still in progress,” concluded Jaya Negara.
