The Minister of Villages and Underdeveloped Regions (Mendes PDT) Yandri Susanto has invited the President’s Special Envoy for Youth Development, Raffi Ahmad, to design an agenda for Gen Z auditions targeting rural youth across Indonesia.

According to Yandri, Raffi’s role can strengthen the development of rural youth, enabling them to leverage global technology and information to promote village modernisation and advancement.

“Today is extraordinary; we have a visit from the President’s Special Envoy for Youth Development and Arts Workers. We have been collaborating with him from the start on breakthroughs for village development,” Yandri explained in his statement on Thursday (23/4/2026).

“In the near future, we will have an extraordinary collaboration with him, targeting youth across Indonesia,” he added.

He conveyed this during a meeting with Raffi at the Ministry of Villages and Underdeveloped Regions in Jakarta today. Furthermore, Yandri elaborated that the major agenda (youth development) will involve the entire rural community in Indonesia.

He believes that with proper guidance, rural youth will grow into responsible, productive individuals capable of transforming village potentials into greater advancement and prosperity.

Yandri added that youth development holds great potential to produce village development leaders. With fresh, cutting-edge ideas, the younger generation is seen as new energy for the sustainability of village development.

Moreover, he noted that the advancing times make the younger generation increasingly familiar with rapid information flows and evolving technology. Yandri is confident that this can serve as significant capital for youth to become more concerned and actively involved in village development.

“We want to inspire rural youth to be more active and innovative. We will create Gen Z auditions, and that is what we will collaborate on with the Office of the President’s Special Envoy for Youth Development and Arts Workers,” he concluded.
