Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Villages, Development of Underdeveloped Regions, and Transmigration (Mendes PDT) Yandri Susanto has urged every Government Employee with a Work Agreement (PPPK) in the Ministry of Villages environment for 2026 to contribute to village development, such as through adopted villages.

“At minimum in the Ministry of Villages, we implement adopted villages. We declare the Ministry of Villages’ adopted villages. We nurture them by collaborating with various parties, overseeing existing programmes. So, we won’t be overwhelmed alone because there are many programmes for villages now, and that’s what we oversee,” said Minister Yandri during the opening of the 2026 PPPK Orientation at the Ministry of Villages PDT Office in Jakarta on Thursday.

He then explained that adopted villages could be selected, among others, based on birthplace, ensuring government programmes run smoothly and on target.

“We must promote good government programmes. Please eliminate sectoral egos; at minimum, we support the government in our own way without interfering,” he stated.

This call was made by Minister Yandri because the ultimate goal of every government programme is in the villages. For example, he said, the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes), stunting prevention, and poverty alleviation. Therefore, Minister Yandri emphasised that Ministry of Villages PDT employees are obliged to be maximally involved according to their respective authorities.

In addition, Minister Yandri advised each orientation participant to truly absorb every material presented, especially in understanding duties, functions, and work units in the Ministry of Villages PDT. He hopes that the role of employees can be carried out maximally, both inside and outside the office.

Thus, no village will be left underdeveloped, and the quality of Indonesia’s human resources will truly improve.

“This orientation must be taken seriously; don’t fail to understand your own home. Don’t fail to understand about the Ministry of Villages PDT. This is the institution we lead, so the success of the Ministry depends on all of you. What we manage is Indonesia, not just a few regions,” he said.

It is known that the material to be presented to orientation participants includes material on introducing the ministry’s organisation as well as introducing government agency values and ethics. From these materials, participants are expected to become capable fighters ready to develop villages throughout Indonesia without leaving applicable rules.
