Minister of Transportation Sends Off 70 Gojek Drivers for Umrah Pilgrimage

Gojek driver partners gathered to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (Maulid Nabi). During the event, the Minister of Transportation, Dudress Dudy Purwagandhi, was present to officially send off selected driver partners for their Umrah pilgrimage.

As a form of appreciation for partners who have been with Gojek since its founding in 2010, Gojek is sending 70 driver partners to the Holy Land free of charge. These individuals, referred to as ‘Legendary Driver Partners’, are those who helped pave the way for Gojek’s growth, from its early days as a call centre to its current status as Indonesia’s largest digital ecosystem.

The preparations for the departure of the Legendary Driver Partners were marked by a surprise visit from Minister Dudy Purwagandhi. While seeing off the drivers, Dudy offered prayers for the smooth conduct of their pilgrimage and for Indonesia amidst various natural disasters.
