Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has again disclosed the provisional chronology of the collision between Argo Bromo Anggrek and the KRL Commuter Line relating to the Kampung Bandan-Cikarang route at Bekasi Timur Station on 27 April. According to a report from PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI, the incident began when KRL Commuter Line service KA 5568A from Kampung Bandan to Cikarang arrived at Bekasi station at 20:34 WIB, one minute earlier.

The Sawunggalih KA 116B (Pasar Senen-Kutoarjo) arrived at 20:35 WIB, with about 5 minutes of delay. After boarding and alighting for roughly two minutes, KA Sawunggalih departed Bekasi at 20:37 WIB, still 5 minutes late. Then at 20:48 WIB, there was a taxi breakdown on the level crossing at 6 Ampera and, at the same time, tensions arose between KRL Commuter Line KA 5181B (Cikarang-Angke) and the taxi.

The Jakarta-bound line was brought to a complete stop, triggering a crowd around the crossing. Meanwhile, KA5568A resumed from Bekasi at 20:45 WIB, now 8 minutes late, arriving at Bekasi Timur at 20:49 WIB with a 9-minute delay. The KA5568A had briefly departed but stopped again as a crowd surrounded the taxi on the Ampera crossing.

At 20:51 WIB, Argo Bromo Anggrek or KA4B passed Bekasi Station at a speed of 108 km/h, 3 minutes earlier than scheduled. Sadly, at 20:52 WIB there was a collision or impact between Argo Bromo Anggrek and KRL 5568A at Bekasi Station.

The minister emphasised that the chronology is provisional for public information. The final investigation results will be the responsibility of the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT). Regarding the final results, KNKT will provide the conclusions; what he stated is based on data loggers, and KNKT is entitled to report these findings.
