Minister of Social Affairs: 67,886 Families Verified for Social Assistance

Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf, also known as Gus Ipul, said that 67,886 recipient families or KPM have been verified to receive social assistance (bansos). From data we have received from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), there are 67,886 recipient families or KPM that have been verified, Gus Ipul said at a press conference at the Ministry of Social Affairs office in Central Jakarta on Thursday (5 March 2026).

For the housing allocation that is Rp 3 million, and for BSSE (Social-Economic Stimulus Aid) it is Rp 5 million. The total budget required is more than Rp 543 billion, he said.

Gus Ipul noted that the number of KPMs has been processed in a multi-tier process starting from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).

The final data becomes our reference for disbursement. In this disbursement process, we have tasked PT Pos Indonesia, he said.

At the same time, Haris, Acting President Director of PT Pos Indonesia, promised to carry out the bansos distribution faithfully through three channels. We will do it in three ways: we will disburse at the post office, then disburse in the community, at the village/kampung offices (if in Aceh), at the kelurahan offices, and at the district offices, he said.

The third method is that PT POS Indonesia will deliver the aid directly to recipients who are already elderly or ill.
