Minister of Religious Affairs Extends Lunar New Year Greetings, Hopes for Peace and Prosperity for All

Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar extended his greetings for Lunar New Year 2577 Kongzili to the Confucian community and all citizens celebrating the occasion. Nasaruddin expressed his hope that the Lunar New Year would bring goodness to all of society.

“I, Nasaruddin Umar, Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, on behalf of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and personally, extend greetings for Lunar New Year 2577 Kongzili — gong he xin xi kong hesin si wan she ru yi — to the Confucian community and all citizens who celebrate. May this new year bring peace, health, wisdom and prosperity for us all,” Nasaruddin said in a statement on Monday (16/2/2026).

In his Lunar New Year 2577 Kongzili message, Nasaruddin expressed hope that the new year would serve as a momentum to foster a more peaceful and wisdom-filled atmosphere within community life.

Nasaruddin also underscored the importance of justice as the primary foundation of national life, particularly in a pluralistic society such as Indonesia.

“Justice is the primary foundation of national life. With justice upheld, we can overcome poverty together through fraternity and social concern,” he continued.

According to Nasaruddin, efforts to deliver justice cannot be undertaken individually. Rather, he said, they require a spirit of fraternity and social concern among citizens.

On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2577 Kongzili, Nasaruddin hoped it would strengthen the values of togetherness and solidarity in building a harmonious life.

“May Lunar New Year 2577 Kongzili strengthen unity and social justice for all of Indonesia. Greetings of virtue,” he added.
