Minister of Religious Affairs Arrives at Venue for Isbat Session to Determine 1 Ramadan 1447 H
Minister of Religious Affairs (Menag) Nasaruddin Umar arrived at the venue for the isbat session to determine 1 Ramadan 1447 H. The session was held at Hotel Borobudur in Central Jakarta.
As observed by detikcom at the location on Tuesday (17/2/2026), Nasaruddin arrived at 16:20 Western Indonesian Time. He asked all parties to await the announcement following the isbat session.
"The results will be conveyed after the isbat session," Nasaruddin said.
He explained that the isbat session was not held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs office because ongoing construction in front of the building could potentially cause congestion. He expressed concern that the location would be inadequate for the parking needs of session participants.
"Because the main road construction in front of Jalan Thamrin is currently being carried out by the Ministry of Public Works, we have no parking space — it's quite cramped. So there were concerns about disruption due to the lack of parking," he said.
He stated there were no issues despite the session being moved to a different location, adding that preparations for the isbat session had been completed.
"Our preparations are finished. It's normative, just like last year — there are no technical problems, only the venue is different," he explained.
