Minister of Public Works Ensures Toll Road Infrastructure in Good Condition for Eid Return Flow
Semarang, VIVA – The President Director of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Rivan A. Purwantono, accompanied the inspection by the Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, to ensure that the return flow for Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 proceeds in a controlled manner, supported by the readiness of safe and comfortable toll road infrastructure for road users at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road on Saturday, 28 March 2026.
Also present at the event were Jasa Marga’s Business Director Reza Febriano, the Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency of the Ministry of Public Works, Wilan Oktavian, the Central Java Traffic Director, Senior Commissioner of Police M. Pratama Adhyasastra, along with relevant officials.
Jasa Marga’s President Director, Rivan A. Purwantono, stated that the current return flow conditions are monitored as busy but smooth. Following the peak flow period on 24 March 2026, which was successfully anticipated, the increased flow on 28-29 March 2026 will also be managed even better in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
“We ensure that all sections of the Jasa Marga Group are ready to serve the public during the Eid homecoming and return periods in 2026, particularly now for road users returning to Jakarta. With optimal service and infrastructure support, we strive to provide safe, comfortable, smooth, and secure journeys on the toll roads,” said Rivan.
At the discretion of the police, Jasa Marga is currently supporting several traffic engineering measures such as one-way and contraflow systems. These policies are determined based on current traffic monitoring through the Jasamarga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC), in collaboration with on-site officer observations, particularly for journeys to Jakarta from the Batang-Semarang Toll Road, Semarang ABC Toll Road, Semarang-Solo Toll Road, up to the Solo-Ngawi Toll Road.
In addition to traffic engineering, infrastructure readiness is a primary focus, including road conditions and rest area facilities to support road user comfort, especially during the implementation of traffic engineering measures.
“We continuously evaluate and arrange rest areas, both in terms of flow management and capacity. Road users can also optimise alternative rest areas around toll exit accesses along the Trans Java Toll Road, from the Semarang-Solo Toll Road KM 444 to the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road KM 72, so they still have options if the main rest areas on the toll road are crowded,” added Rivan.
