JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo has confirmed that his office was searched by a team of investigators from the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) on Thursday (9 April 2026). Additionally, Dody confirmed that the office of Deputy Minister (Wamen) of PU Diana Kusumastuti was also searched. “Yes (both rooms were searched). It’s like this: I gave permission to the investigators to search all the rooms in the Ministry of PU,” Dody said at the Ministry of PU in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Friday (10 April 2026). Therefore, Dody emphasised that the search by law enforcement officials was lawfully conducted. However, Dody added that he had sought permission from President Prabowo Subianto before the investigators carried out the search in his office. “The investigators might have been a bit concerned, so I had to request special permission from Mr President. Something like that,” he explained. Dody revealed that the investigators seized documents from audit results and several books from his office. However, he claimed not to remember in detail which audit documents were taken. “The audit result documents that I kept in my place were taken. But the details I forget because there are so many documents,” Dody stated. Dody also confirmed that the search took place in the Cipta Karya Building and the Water Resources Building.
