JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, has assured that the land issues concerning the construction of the second phase of the Community School in Kertek District, Wonosobo Regency, Central Java, have been resolved.

The assurance was given by Dody during an inspection of the progress of the Community School construction in Wonosobo, Friday (15/5/2026).

Dody explained that one of the obstacles that had emerged during the construction process was related to the land status, with some portions still owned by local residents, which impacted the design and construction process.

However, these issues have now been resolved, allowing the construction to proceed more optimally.

“The land issues are now completely resolved. Currently, everything is in synergy, and this is a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Public Works,” said Dody, in a statement, Friday (15/5/2026).

In addition to the land issues, Dody stated that the challenges related to the supply of concrete, which had also occurred, have been addressed through the support of various parties.

Based on data as of May 14, 2026, the physical progress of the Wonosobo Community School construction has reached 40.06%, with the support of 1,167 workers on-site.

According to Dody, the acceleration of the Community School construction involves all organizational units within the Ministry of Public Works, as well as support from various other agencies.

“I have asked for assistance from state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and we have also requested assistance from the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces). So, we are working together to ensure that the construction of the second phase of the Community School can be completed by June, and the students can start attending the new school in the new academic year in July,” he said.

The construction of the Wonosobo Community School is being carried out using the State Budget (APBN) for the 2025–2026 fiscal year, with a contract value of IDR 229.05 billion.

The integrated education complex is being built on an area of 5.038 hectares, with a total building area of 27,474 square meters.

The Wonosobo Community School is designed for elementary, junior high, and high school levels and is equipped with student dormitories, teacher housing, a mosque, a multi-purpose building, and sports facilities.

To accelerate the completion of the construction nationally, the Ministry of Public Works has implemented several acceleration strategies, such as adding heavy equipment, increasing the number of workers, implementing a three-shift work system, and adjusting construction methods.
