Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas has stated that the post-application trademark service system will be integrated with the Population Administration Information System (SIAK) of the Directorate General of Dukcapil, Ministry of Home Affairs. The system is part of a development that will allow post-application trademark services, including the transfer of rights, to be announced more openly to the public. “Thus, to access data, if a transfer is to occur, the process will certainly be fast,” said Supratman, who participated online in the PASTI Ada Solusi programme on Friday. Therefore, he said, a very good system is needed, which is currently being developed by the Ministry of Law to be integrated into a single system. Supratman estimates that by the end of August 2026 or early September 2026, the system will be completed and running well. “So I ask for your understanding once again that with this new regulatory change, there is no other interest than to ensure that the process of transferring Intellectual Property Rights is aimed at providing maximum protection to those who are entitled,” he said. This step is taken to provide stronger legal protection to trademark owners and prevent misuse or transfer without the knowledge of the rightful party. This information transparency is a continuing commitment from the government following the successful implementation of automated post-application services and trademark application services that are completed within a maximum of six months. All services will be unified into the Ministry of Law’s integrated SuperApps system to simplify the public’s legal needs in one hand.
