Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Distributes 2,000 Staple Food Packages to Menteng Residents in Jakarta

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, alias Ara, forged synergy with the Navy Chief of Staff (KSAL) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali in distributing 2,000 staple food packages to residents of Menteng Subdistrict, Jakarta. The event was themed “Sharing for the Nation from Menteng to Menteng” and was also attended by businessman Garibaldi “Boy” Thohir, Singapore Ambassador Kwok Fook Seng, Australian Ambassador Rod Brazier, and Egyptian Ambassador Yasser Elshemy. “All Menteng residents are united, we join hands, we also learn from what President Prabowo (Subianto) has done, who always teaches us to work together, including with our neighbours. Messages of brotherhood, messages of humanity, related to the Idul Fitri holiday,” said Minister Ara during the staple food package distribution at Wisma Elang Laut Jakarta on Wednesday. On this occasion, Minister Ara expressed appreciation to the Navy (AL) ranks who helped distribute the staple food packages and ensured the event ran safely and smoothly. “Look, the Navy works with heart and professionally. This is just the beginning, 2,000 staple foods on behalf, brother (Muhammad Ali), so that it runs safely and smoothly,” said Minister Ara. Meanwhile, KSAL Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali stated that the distribution of staple food packages is one form of the government’s concern for the community, especially those living in Menteng and surrounding areas. “So for our concern for Menteng residents, actually many Menteng residents are still struggling,” said Ali. In line with the event coinciding with the Ramadan month, he hopes the distributed staple foods can be utilised as best as possible by Menteng residents and those around them. “Since it’s Ramadan month, a month full of blessings, the hope is that this can be utilised as best as possible by Menteng residents who need it,” said Ali.
