Minister of Hajj: Saudi Arabia Praises Significant Leap in Indonesia's Hajj Services
Arab Saudi’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has expressed appreciation for the improved quality of Indonesia’s 2026 Hajj services. The appreciation was conveyed directly by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, during his inspection of Indonesian Hajj services in Mina on Sunday (25/5).
Indonesia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Moch. Irfan Yusuf, stated that the visit was a recognition of the government’s efforts to improve Hajj services this season.
‘Alhamdulillah, we have just been honoured by a visit from Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah. He came with his delegation to commend our achievements this year, which they described as an extraordinary leap,’ said the Minister of Hajj.
He added that the Saudi government hopes Indonesia’s Hajj service quality will be maintained and enhanced in the coming years, noting the strong cooperation between the two nations in facilitating smooth services for pilgrims.
‘We are grateful that the collaboration between Indonesia’s and Saudi Arabia’s Ministries of Hajj and Umrah has been exceptional, resulting in the best possible services for our pilgrims this year,’ he stated.
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, noted that Saudi Arabia has observed significant improvements in Indonesia’s Hajj management and on-ground service delivery.
‘The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah specifically mentioned an existential leap, a substantial advancement in this year’s Hajj operations,’ said the Deputy Minister.
This recognition serves as motivation for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and all Hajj officials to maintain service quality, particularly as they approach the peak pilgrimage phase at Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna).
The government has also requested the support and prayers of the Indonesian people to ensure the ongoing Hajj service transformation continues to benefit all pilgrims.
‘Please pray for all Indonesians so that the hard work of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah team yields positive impacts for Hajj transformation under President Prabowo’s administration,’ he concluded.
