Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources States Draft Extension of Vale's Permit is on Bahlil Lahadalia's Desk
The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin Tasrif, has stated that the draft for the extension of the mining business licence for PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) has already been placed on the desk of the Minister of Investment and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Bahlil Lahadalia. This follows ongoing discussions regarding Vale’s operations, particularly in light of Indonesia’s policies on mineral downstreaming and foreign investment in the nickel sector. The extension is anticipated to support Vale’s continued activities in Sorowako, South Sulawesi, while aligning with national resource management goals.
