Minister of Culture Appreciates Dedication of Senior Musicians and Composers

Jakarta – Indonesia’s Minister of Culture Fadli Zon expressed appreciation for senior musicians and composers whilst attending the “Jazz Ngabuburit with The Composer 2026” event at Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta, on Saturday (28 February).

Musicians Fariz RM, Reika Roslan, Dea Mirella, and Andre Hehanusa performed at the event, which was attended by orphans, national music professionals, and the minister’s expert staff member Neno Warisman.

“We can see that the songs created by these legendary musicians demonstrate their tremendous contribution to Indonesian music,” said the Minister of Culture, as quoted in the ministry’s press release on Sunday.

“We need their experience, particularly for young people. This is important to continue appreciating as part of the long journey of Indonesian music,” he said.

He expressed hope that Indonesia’s legendary musicians would continue to create works and provide inspiration.

The “Jazz Ngabuburit with The Composer 2026” event was held to showcase collaboration amongst music maestros and to honour their works and contributions.
