Minister of Cooperatives meets Agrinas director to discuss acceleration of Red-and-White Village Cooperative outlets
Jakarta (ANTARA) — Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono visited the office of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara and held a meeting with Chief Executive Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota in Jakarta on Monday to discuss accelerating development of 83,000 Red-and-White Village Cooperative outlets.
Ferry stated that during the meeting, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Agrinas agreed to strengthen intensive coordination to ensure completion proceeds according to schedule whilst guaranteeing the cooperative business model operates effectively.
Ferry emphasised that the government would hold further meetings to refine operational aspects, ranging from distribution systems, management, to integration of the food logistics ecosystem.
“We are optimistic. Once the distribution network is clear, we will intensify joint meetings between the Ministry of Cooperatives and Agrinas to ensure implementation proceeds smoothly,” he stated in a press statement.
During the meeting, the Minister also requested that Agrinas prepare standard specifications for business units such as pharmacies and clinics to maintain consistent service quality.
Agrinas Chief Executive Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota reported that physical construction of Red-and-White Village Cooperative outlets has reached 32,660 units, with 2,700 units fully completed.
“We continue to make progress and hope that by the end of April we can have more than 20,000 units fully completed,” said Joao.
