Minister of Basic and Secondary Education reviews UTBK-SNBT 2026 implementation at UPN Veteran Jakarta

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu’ti visited the Computer-Based Written Examination Centre for the National Selection Based on Tests (UTBK-SNBT) at the University of National Development “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) on Wednesday.

The visit was conducted to review supporting facilities, service readiness, and the implementation of the UTBK-SNBT 2026, which has been ongoing for nine days at UPNVJ.

Mendikdasmen delivered a message of encouragement to the participants who had completed the test. He appreciated the participants’ efforts in undergoing all examination stages and reminded them to remain calm after finishing the test.

“You have already performed your best. Now is the time for you to relax. Everything is finished and has been inputted. Insyaallah, your work will be evaluated objectively and announced according to the schedule,” he said.

Abdul Mu’ti stated that the experience of participating in the UTBK-SNBT is an important part of the character formation process for the participants. According to him, the examination not only measures academic ability but also trains endurance, mental readiness, stamina, and the intellectual capacity of prospective university students.

“Your experience in taking this test becomes an important part of how all of you are not only able to follow the test but also possess strong mental fortitude, stamina, and intellect. Of course, being accepted into the campus and study programme of your choice is a joy, but if you fail this time, it is not the end of everything,” said Mendikdasmen Abdul Mu’ti.

On the same occasion, UPNVJ Rector Prof Anter Venus conveyed to the UTBK-SNBT 2026 examination participants that the visit by Mendikdasmen is an honour as well as a strengthening for UPNVJ as one of the UTBK-SNBT 2026 implementation centres.

“Participants, today we are exceptionally honoured by the visit of Mendikdasmen. He is present to ensure that the UTBK-SNBT implementation at UPNVJ runs according to procedures, rules, and applicable standards,” he stated.

According to Venus, the implementation of UTBK-SNBT is not only related to the readiness of facilities and infrastructure but also concerns the institution’s commitment to providing accountable educational services.

Therefore, UPNVJ strives to ensure that all examination stages run orderly, transparently, and oriented towards the comfort of the participants.
