Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Reviews Revitalisation Programme at SDN 6 Sumerta, Denpasar
Denpasar (ANTARA) - The Minister of Basic and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Abdul Mu’ti, directly inspected the school revitalisation programme at SDN 6 Sumerta, East Denpasar, Bali, on Thursday.
The working visit was accompanied by Denpasar Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara along with the Denpasar City Government apparatus.
The inspection was also combined with a visit to a school receiving revitalisation in 2026 under President Prabowo Subianto’s programme titled “Wujudkan Sekolah Asri”.
On that occasion, Abdul Mu’ti stated that the school revitalisation programme is a strategic step by the government to improve the quality of educational infrastructure in Indonesia.
“The school revitalisation programme is one of the government’s strategic steps in improving educational infrastructure to realise a safe and comfortable school environment for students,” he said.
He also advised students to help maintain the cleanliness and facilities of the school that have been built and repaired by the government.
According to Abdul Mu’ti, adequate educational facilities will support the teaching and learning process to become more comfortable and effective.
Meanwhile, Denpasar Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara expressed appreciation for the central government’s attention to the development of the education sector in Denpasar City.
He stated that synergy between the central government and the Denpasar City Government is very important in supporting improvements in the quality of educational facilities and infrastructure.
“On behalf of the Denpasar City Government, we thank the synergy between the central government and the Denpasar City Government for improving the quality of facilities and infrastructure in the education sector,” said Jaya Negara.
According to him, this collaboration is expected to realise a green and comfortable school environment for students in Denpasar City.
The school revitalisation programme is also expected to improve the quality of learning while supporting the character development of students through a clean, healthy, and well-organised educational environment.
