Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Launches Hardiknas 2026 Logo, Focusing on Universal Participation
The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) has launched the logo for the commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026, which embodies the philosophy of strengthening the direction of educational transformation through a series of priority programmes. Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu’ti stated that the launch of the logo is accompanied by guidelines for the Hardiknas 2026 commemoration, outlined in Circular Letter (SE) Mendikdasmen Number 8844/T/MDM.A5/HM.01.00/2026. “We declare May as National Education Month and establish the theme for the National Education Day 2026 commemoration as Strengthening Universal Participation to Realise Quality Education for All,” said Mendikdasmen Abdul Mu’ti in Jakarta on Tuesday (28/4), as quoted from Antara. Through this SE, the ministry urges central and regional institutions, educational units, and Indonesian representative offices abroad to hold flag-raising ceremonies in accordance with the guidelines set by Kemendikdasmen. Regarding the logo used for this year’s Hardiknas commemoration, Mendikdasmen explained that it represents the spirit of National Education Day while illustrating the direction of educational transformation through Kemendikdasmen’s priority programmes, namely the revitalisation of educational units, digitalisation of learning, and teacher welfare. The dynamic, enthusiastic human silhouette in the logo, he said, reflects a universe ready to play an active role in supporting and contributing to realising the vision of #QualityEducationForAll. Meanwhile, the curved lines encircling the logo symbolise forward movement, protection, and continuity. “This represents the revitalisation of educational units through improvements in facilities and infrastructure, strengthening the school ecosystem, and equitable distribution of educational services throughout Indonesia,” said Mendikdasmen Abdul Mu’ti. The dominance of blue in the logo, he continued, symbolises trust, intelligence, professionalism, and a bright future.
