Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu’ti stated that Deep Learning represents an effort to achieve the ideal aspirations of national education in order to build superior, strong, and resilient human resources. He conveyed this in his speech for the National Education Day (Hardiknas) commemoration in Jakarta on Saturday. “A popular adage states that if you wish to advance the nation, improve education. If you wish to improve education, start from within the classroom. Deep Learning is the endeavour intended to achieve the ideal national education,” said Mendikdasmen Mu’ti. He explained that in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto’s Astacita, education is a collective effort to build superior, strong, and resilient Indonesian human resources to make Indonesia an advanced, prosperous, and dignified nation. Based on this foundation, his ministry is implementing the Deep Learning approach as a priority programme to enhance education quality and realise national education goals. Mu’ti stated that they have established five strategic policies, namely the revitalisation of educational units and digitalisation of learning, improvement of teacher competencies, strengthening of school community character, enhancement of student literacy and numeracy, and expansion of education access. On that occasion, he also explained the philosophy of this year’s Hardiknas logo, which represents the spirit on National Education Day and illustrates the direction of education transformation through Kemendikdasmen’s priority programmes. The dynamic, enthusiastic human silhouette in the logo, he said, reflects a universe ready to actively participate in supporting and contributing to realising the #QualityEducationForAll vision. “This represents the revitalisation of educational units through improvements in facilities and infrastructure, strengthening of the school ecosystem, and equitable distribution of education services across Indonesia,” said Mendikdasmen Mu’ti. The dominance of blue in the logo, he continued, symbolises trust, intelligence, professionalism, and a bright future. Meanwhile, the curved lines encircling the logo symbolise forward movement, protection, and continuity.
