Minister of ATR: UIN Palu is a strategic partner in surveying uncertified land
Palu (ANTARA) - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid stated that Datokarama Palu State Islamic University (UIN) is one of the strategic partners that can help survey uncertified land.
“I came to Palu to invite the community and all components, including UIN Datokarama, to help survey uncertified land so that it can be certified,” said Nusron Wahid during his visit to the UIN Datokarama Palu campus on Wednesday.
He explained that waqf lands that have not yet been certified through UIN can assist the certification process together with the local BPN, as an effort by the Indonesian government to provide legal certainty over land ownership for the community, in order to accelerate the improvement of public welfare.
Through cooperation with State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN), it is hoped that land certification can be accelerated through the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) programme.
“It is very important so that waqf lands do not become problems in the future,” he said.
Secondly, waqf lands, including land for places of worship that have already been AIW, should be continued to the National Land Agency (BPN) at the district/city and provincial levels for certification.
“So that waqf land has legal strength,” said Nusron.
Regarding this, Rector of UIN Datokarama Palu Prof Lukman Thahir stated that the involvement of students in this programme is a concrete form of community service, as part of the implementation of the three pillars of higher education.
“We are ready to deploy a team. This is an opportunity for our students to learn while serving. We want to ensure that there are no more lands for places of worship or lands of poor residents that are seized by irresponsible parties, just because they do not have documents,” he said.
