Palu (ANTARA) - The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid, and the Rector of the State Islamic University (UIN) Datokarama Palu signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) document on the implementation of the tri dharma of higher education. The MoU signing was one of the agendas during Minister Nusron Wahid’s working visit to the city of Palu, Central Sulawesi, which took place at the Auditorium of UIN Datokarama on Wednesday. “Higher education is a repository of intellectuals; with the support of UIN Palu, we hope that land issues can be resolved with a more humane and scientific approach,” he stated during his visit. The MoU document states that the agreement serves as the basis for implementing the tri dharma of higher education in the fields of education, research, and community service. The aim is to synergise the duties, functions, and authority of the Ministry of ATR/BPN with UIN Datokarama. “The scope of cooperation includes the implementation of the tri dharma of higher education in education, research, and community service, as well as the exchange of data and/or information,” he said. In addition to signing the memorandum of understanding, the Minister of ATR also handed over land certificates (SHM) for the former Golni land to the Rector of UIN Datokarama Palu, Professor Lukman Thahir. The Palu City BPN/ATR has issued land certificates for the former Golni land, which was donated by the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government to UIN Datokarama, covering an area of 5,515 square metres. Meanwhile, the Rector of UIN Datokarama Palu, Prof Lukman Thahir, expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of ATR for partnering with them in accelerating the resolution of land and agrarian issues in the Central Sulawesi region. “We welcome this collaboration as a form of actualising the campus’s role in solving community problems. Through this MoU, the university acts as a bridge of information between the government and village communities regarding the importance of land asset legality,” he said. On that occasion, he also thanked Minister Nusron Wahid and his team in the Central Sulawesi Province for issuing the SHM for the donated former Golni land to UIN Datokarama. “With an area of approximately 5,515 square metres, we will build a lecture building for two faculties, namely the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Da’wah and Islamic Communication,” he added.
