Minister of ATR: Advantages of Electronic Certificates with High Security Levels
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid has revealed the advantages of electronic certificates, namely a higher level of security compared to analogue certificates.
He explained that one of the key advantages of electronic certificates is their higher level of security compared to analogue certificates.
“We hope that pesantren managers and other communities can follow this step, switching to Electronic Certificates for security and convenience in the future,” said Nusron in his statement in Jakarta on Monday.
Land document data is stored digitally in the Land Activity Computerisation (KKP) application, ensuring it remains safe even in the event of disasters such as floods or earthquakes.
Electronic Certificates are also equipped with clear and integrated spatial data. This allows the location of land parcels to be easily traced through the digital system, including accurate coordinate points.
Nusron stated that this transparency makes it easier for the public to ensure the certainty of their land’s location and boundaries.
“The boundaries are clear, the location is clear. It can simply be checked through the system, and the location can be known immediately in a transparent manner,” said Nusron.
For information, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid continues to promote the digital transformation of land services as a strategic step to increase transparency, efficiency, and accountability in land administration management.
Regarding the digitalisation of services based on applicant access statistics, he continued, 83 percent of land service files are obtained from the top three services, namely right transfers, information services, and mortgage rights.
Two of the top three services, namely mortgage rights and land information services, have been implemented electronically, while right transfer services have been carried out in a hybrid manner.
The positive aspects of implementing electronic services for the public include: reducing the public’s obligation to visit land offices, thereby reducing queues by up to 80 percent; eliminating the risk of certificate loss due to washing, natural disasters, and damage.
Thirdly, guaranteeing the authenticity of certificates, with no more fake certificates; then the ease of accessing electronic certificates and more secure land data information; and finally, maintaining the authenticity of documents.
