Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid, has asserted that all land services continue to operate normally despite the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigating alleged corruption cases within his ministry.

Met in Jakarta on Friday, Nusron ensured that the service process for the public is not disrupted and requested all ranks within the ATR/BPN to remain solid and perform their duties according to established service standards.

“God willing, it will not be disrupted. We ask everyone to remain solid,” said Nusron.

He stated that land administration services, including the rights transfer process with a target completion of 10 working days and the Scheduled Measurement programme, continue as usual.

“We ask that everyone remains solid; services must continue, the 10-day rights transfer must continue, and scheduled measurements must continue,” he said.

According to Nusron, the commitment to improving service quality was established before the ongoing legal process, meaning various innovations and improvements will proceed.

“We had already committed to this, to implementing several innovations and changes, prior to this,” Nuspend Nusron.

In addition to maintaining service continuity, the Ministry of ATR/BPN is also strengthening internal supervision as part of efforts to improve governance and ensure all processes run according to regulations.

Nusron emphasised that the strengthening of internal supervision will continue alongside the ministry’s commitment to maintaining organisational integrity, improving the quality of land services, and upholding public trust.

“There will certainly be strengthening and internal supervision amidst this issue,” said Nusron.

Nusron also responded to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigating alleged corruption within his ministry. He stated that he respects the legal process being conducted by the KPK in the investigation of alleged land mafia cases.

“Firstly, we respect what is being processed by law enforcement agencies, in this case, the KPK. We will also follow and assist with the processes here,” he said.

He emphasised that the Ministry of ATR/BPN will follow and assist all legal processes carried out by the KPK as a form of support for law enforcement and the eradication of corruption.

According to Nusron, the legal process is expected to serve as a momentum to accelerate service improvements within land offices so that governance becomes better, more transparent, and accountable to the public.

“Hopefully, through this incident, there will be an accelerated process of service improvement within the land offices. I believe that,” he said.

Responding to questions regarding the mention of his name in the case, Nusron chose to leave the investigation process entirely to the KPK as the institution with the authority to conduct law enforcement. He emphasised that the entire investigation process is the authority of law enforcement agencies, so any developments in the case should await the official results of the KPK’s examination.

The Ministry of ATR/BPN, Nusron continued, is committed to being cooperative during the investigation and supports law enforcement steps to strengthen the integrity of land services in Indonesia.

“We are following this process and we leave it entirely to the KPK as the law enforcement agency,” he said.
