Minister: Jakarta's Public Service Mall Could Become National Showcase

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB), Rini Widyantini, has said that the DKI Jakarta Public Service Mall (MPP) could become a national showcase for public services because it is able to deliver integrated services that are easily accessible and oriented towards the needs of the community. “The quality of Jakarta has certainly always been a reference for other regional governments,” she said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday. She assessed that the DKI Jakarta MPP has implemented the omnichannel service concept in line with the Ministry of PAN-RB’s policy, which allows the public to access services through various channels, ranging from face-to-face meetings, proactive outreach services, self-service kiosks, to digital services. Rini then highlighted the speed of completion for a number of services at the DKI Jakarta MPP. She noted that some services can be completed in around 15 minutes with a well-organised queuing system. Nevertheless, she encouraged that services which still require longer processing times continue to be simplified. “We hope that with the existence of this Public Service Mall, the public receives service or certainty of service that is truly complete,” she said. The MPP not only consolidates various services into one building, but also drives changes in bureaucratic working methods to be more responsive, professional, and oriented towards the needs of citizens. “We want the public to directly feel the tangible benefits of bureaucratic reform. Not only ease in managing permits or documents, but also growing confidence that the government is present with professional and high-integrity services,” said Heru. The DKI Jakarta Provincial DPMPTSP will continue to improve service quality in accordance with the direction of DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, so that the public obtains process certainty, while business actors gain ease in managing permits. According to Heru, fast and certain public services also play an important role in strengthening the investment climate in Jakarta. Ease of licensing and investment services is one of the important factors for maintaining the trust of the business world and encouraging sustainable economic growth.
