Minister Invites Gen Z to Learn About Cooperatives Through Fun Run with Governor Pramono

The Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) held the GenCoopRun fun run during the car-free day (CFD) on Jalan Rasuna Said, South Jakarta. The event is part of the ministry’s commemoration of the 79th National Cooperative Day. “Today, this morning, we are organising the GenCoopRun. ‘Gen’ signifies that cooperatives aim to target the younger generation, millennials and Gen Z, and this morning’s GenCoopRun is part of the series of events commemorating the 79th National Cooperative Day,” said Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono in front of the Kemenkop office on Jalan Rasuna Said on Sunday (19/7/2026). The event was also attended by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung. Ferry expressed his appreciation to Pramono Anung for making Jalan Rasuna Said more attractive. “We extend our deepest gratitude to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Mr Pramono Anung, who has transformed the face of Jalan Haji Rangkayo Rasuna Said here in Kuningan into a more beautiful and pleasant place that can be used for Car Free Day activities with various events,” he said. Ferry expressed hope that the GenCoopRun, organised together with the Indonesian Cooperative Council (Dekopin), could serve as a means for participants to live healthier lives. “And I hope the GenCoopRun organised by the Ministry of Cooperatives together with the Indonesian Cooperative Council runs smoothly and can become a means for us to live even healthier,” he added. Meanwhile, Governor Pramono Anung noted that Kemenkop is the first ministry to hold a fun run on the Rasuna Said CFD. He hoped the participants would enjoy their run. “This is the first time a ministry has held a fun run on Jalan Rasuna Said. And hopefully, because the road is quite tidy now, everyone is happy and joyful, have a good run,” said Pramono. Pramono expressed hope that more events like GenCoopRun would make Jakarta increasingly colourful. He noted that many people are now using the Rasuna Said CFD as a place to exercise. “Hopefully, events like this, collaborations like this, will make ministries, institutions, and of course Jakarta, more colourful. And now many people are using it to exercise, to live healthier lives,” he said.
