Minister installs new consuls general
INDONESIA: Minister of Foreign Affairs Hassan Wirayuda installed four new consuls general on Wednesday in a ceremony held at the ministry.
Hassan advised the new consuls general to do more to promote Indonesia's image abroad.
"I am confident that Indonesian representatives abroad will be able to promote trade, investment and tourism and Indonesia's image abroad to help in the recovery of the national economy," Hassan said.
Col. Ikon Mochamad Entjeng was appointed consul general to Davao City, Philippines, Salfrida Nasution Ramadhan, a career diplomat to Capetown, South Africa, Muchtar, a government official, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Rahardjo, a career diplomat, to Noumea, New Caledonia. -- JP
