Minister Inaugurates First School Revitalised Under President's PHTC Programme
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti, together with Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, inaugurated the revitalisation results of SDN Cimahpar 5 in Bogor City, the first recipient of the Quick Best Results Programme (PHTC) in the education sector directly from the President. Minister Mu’ti said the state primary school was the first to receive direct assistance from the President’s Educational Unit Revitalisation programme, marked by a groundbreaking ceremony during the 2025 National Education Day commemoration. “The President advised you to be diligent Indonesian children, to be great children. Have noble aspirations, high aspirations. Do not be inferior, do not be timid. Do not give up easily. Just because you are not children from Jakarta, just because you are not city people. You must be confident, because you all have abilities,” said Minister Mu’ti in Bogor City, West Java, on Wednesday. He explained that the school received revitalisation funds amounting to Rp2.6 billion, which were used to build several new rooms and rehabilitate several old rooms through a self-management mechanism involving the surrounding community. The addition of new rooms on the second floor includes five classrooms, one school health unit room, and one bathroom. Meanwhile, the rehabilitation of old rooms covered five classrooms and one administration room. On that occasion, Coordinating Minister Pratikno expressed appreciation for the revitalisation results and assessed the programme as one of the Government’s efforts to improve the quality of superior human resources. “So here in President Prabowo’s administration, superior human resources must continue to be improved, both health and education quality. In the education sector, there are many programmes. There are Interactive Flat Panels, there is school revitalisation, and many other programmes,” said Pratikno. He expressed hope that quality improvement would not stop at infrastructure alone, but also encompass the quality of learning. For information, during the 2025 National Education Day commemoration on 2 May, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto launched four education programmes under the Quick Best Results Programme at SDN Cimahpar 5, Bogor City, West Java. The four programmes include school rehabilitation, education digitalisation, assistance for non-permanent teachers, and education support for teachers who do not yet hold D4 or S1 qualifications.
