Minister: global crisis does not affect Indonesia
Nusa Dua, Bali, (ANTARA News) - Manpower and Transmigration Minister Erman Suparno said after the ASEM LEMC II opening ceremony, the global financial crisis does not affect Indonesia`s economical life because it is based on the strength of the people.
"Even though the world`s economy is facing a crisis, ours is still stable," said Suparno here Tuesday, adding the country`s economic fundamental is different from each others, therefore it needs a different anticipation of the global financial crisis.
"Each of the countries will find different a strategy and solution in facing the global financial crisis. As for Indonesia, it will improve the real sector," he explained.
The global financial crisis happened lately, according to Suparno, is a challenge for Indonesia to realize that the economy in the country is based on the people`s economy.(*)
