Minister for Bureaucratic Reform: Civil Servant Holiday Allowance Awaits Presidential Announcement
Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini has said the government regulation on 2026 Eid holiday allowances (THR) for civil servants (ASN) is ready for issuance.
She stated that all provisions governing the allowance, including the amount and disbursement schedule, would be announced directly by President Prabowo Subianto in the near future. “It has been prepared. Just wait for the announcement from the President,” she said when met at the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform office in Jakarta on Tuesday, 24 February 2026.
During last year’s Ramadan period, the disbursement of holiday allowances and the 13th-month salary was regulated under Government Regulation Number 11 of 2025. Under that regulation, the THR and 13th-month salary provided to state apparatus comprised basic salary, fixed allowances, and performance allowances at 100 per cent.
For regional civil servants, the THR and 13th-month salary were provided under the same scheme as central government civil servants but adjusted according to each region’s fiscal capacity. For retirees, the allowance last year was equivalent to the monthly pension payment.
When met at the House of Representatives complex on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa had previously stated that the THR for civil servants would be disbursed in the first week of Ramadan. However, he subsequently indicated that disbursement was awaiting President Prabowo’s return to the country.
The head of state has been undertaking a series of engagements abroad since 16 February 2026. “Once the President returns from overseas, he will probably announce it. I don’t know yet — it’s still being processed — but the funds are ready,” Purbaya said at the APBN KiTa press conference on Monday, 23 February 2026.
The THR for civil servants, military personnel, and members of the National Police has been budgeted at Rp 55 trillion. This figure represents an increase from the previous year’s allocation of Rp 49.4 trillion.
