Jakarta – Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono has said he has no knowledge of reports regarding the alleged procurement of 1.8 million electric fans worth Rp1.8 trillion for the Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes Merah Putih) programme.

Ferry made the statement during a working meeting with Commission VI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) at the Parliamentary Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 15 July 2026.

“About this fan issue, I don’t know. The procurement is not under us, Sir,” said Ferry.

Responding to demands for budget transparency, Ferry said he supports a publicly accessible monitoring system. The Ministry of Cooperatives, he said, is currently preparing the Village Cooperative Management Information System (Simkopdes).

According to Ferry, the public will later be able to monitor all stages of the Red and White Village Cooperatives programme, from planning and procurement processes to implementation in the field.

“Everything will be shown later, and the dashboard can be accessed by anyone, including the planning process, procurement, and also the implementation of the programme,” he said.

During the same meeting, Ferry also explained that the government plans to make Kopdes Merah Putih the official distribution agent for various subsidised goods.

The commodities to be distributed through the cooperatives include 3-kilogram LPG, subsidised fertiliser, SPHP rice, and Minyakita cooking oil.

He said the legal basis for distributing subsidised fertiliser through cooperatives is already provided for in a Presidential Regulation, meaning village cooperatives can work directly with PT Pupuk Indonesia.

Earlier, Mufti Anam, a PDIP member of Commission VI of the DPR RI, questioned the veracity of reports about the procurement of 1.8 million electric fans with a budget of Rp1.8 trillion, said to be linked to facilities for the Red and White Village Cooperatives.

Mufti said he had sought an official explanation from the government but had yet to receive any certainty about the information.

“Today the public is being stirred up by reports of the procurement of 1.8 million fans, Sir. Worth Rp1.8 trillion, Sir. We then tried to find information about this issue, but we could not get a single piece of information from the government confirming this procurement exists,” said Mufti.

He also compared the market price of electric fans with the budget figure being circulated.
